| the traditional rubber metering diaphragm to Walbro's ethanol compliant spiral |
|---|
| metering diaphragm. The new spiral metering diaphragm is impervious to the effects |

| of Ethanol and additives in modern fuels and does not deteriorate with age. |

| All parts (except the metering lever) are contained in a clever installation sleeve |
|---|
| to make assembly quicker and easier (refer to notes below). |

| Please Note: | Warning - These parts are extremely durable inside the carburettor but fragile to |
|---|
| handle - DO NOT bend or crease the membrane when handling or during assembly! The |
|---|
| stainless steel spiral is more forgiving but care is still required when handling |
|---|
| it. The metering lever must be replaced with the new one supplied, please reuse the |
|---|
| old metering lever pin. If your workshop does not already have one, Walbro |
|---|
| recommends purchasing the brass "W" gauge (part number OMK500-528) to properly set |
|---|
| metering lever height. For a singular version of this upgrade kit which includes |
|---|
| the brass "W" gauge use our part number K2-WYTA. |
|---|
| Note: | Fitting instructions - |
|---|
| 1. Remove metering cover, old diaphragm and gasket. |
|---|
| 2. Remove the metering lever and replace with the new one supplied, reusing the old |
|---|
| metering lever pin. |
|---|
| 3. Reset the metering lever height using the updated version of the brass "W" gauge |
|---|
| part number OMK500-528 (sold separately). The adjustment point on the brass gauge |
|---|
| is on the bottom, the indentation you need to set the lever height is below the |
|---|
| word "Spiral". |
|---|
| 4. Install the new gaskets and diaphragm onto the carburettor while still contained |
|---|
| inside the installation sleeve (Important - install onto the two metal pins, making |
|---|
| sure that the word "TOP" printed on the installation sleeve is facing up). |
|---|
| 5. Hold the installation sleeve with one hand and put the metering cover on over |
|---|
| the top to hold it down. |
|---|
| 6. Install the four screws and start them by just one turn each. |
|---|
| 7. Then remove the clip off the end and pull the installation sleeve out, then |
|---|
| torque the screws down normally. |
|---|

| please disregard all letters (A, B, C) and -1 that may be at the end of your |
|---|
| carburetor model number. |
